Lauren? Going to Uganda? Jigga....what? I know what most of you are probably thinking....but it's true. I am going to Uganda this summer for a few weeks, and I canNOT wait. This is something that I have wanted to do for a VERY long time, and now that I am finished with grad school...it seems that that time is now! I have no idea what to expect....all I know is that I really feel that this is something that God is calling me to do. This usually means that I am going to be extremely challenged and motivated at the same time....because God seems to think it is fun to screw with me! :) I have been looking at blogs from people who have done this project the past two years, and I am moved every time I read their stories or look at their pictures. I can only imagine what this trip has in store.....already, I am so moved and humbled by how much support people have given me BEFORE I have even left. Friends...family...strangers even....that have donated money because they have enough faith in me and this wonderful cause....awesome! Thank you all for your support!
I'll be sure to keep you posted with the goings-on in Uganda....I think this is going to be a wonderful 6 weeks. While the purpose of the program is to teach...I have a feeling I'm am going to learn even more!
Here we go people.....off to Uganda....BUCKLE UP!
